August 2008 – Summer Releases
Here at paperscissorstone we’re excited to announce the releases for the summer.
First off is Ekkis’ ‘Pen y Banc Session 1.0’ (pss003) - a beautiful chilled collection of original tracks, ranging from pure minimal house to sumptuous jazz breaks, recorded during a stay on a mountain in Wales. A truly unique set which forms the first of an ongoing series of mixed releases.
And we are ecstatic to announce the first release from our most recent contributors Bunterhund, which will comprise two exclusive tracks of delicately crafted electronica from the pairing of Simon Smith (Reason or Romanza) & Stuart Bowditch (Hybernation) alongside remixes from our own Joe Ellis & Nick Dawson. The as yet untitled e.p. promises to broaden the paperscissorstone horizon.

We are proud to announce the release of 2 exclusive e.p.’s with the launch of paperscissorstone.
(pss001) dawson – incorrected
Five tracks of warm, complex techno from the labels co-founder.
Includes a remix of unreleased track ‘handheld’ from Stuart Bowditch of Hybernation (rednetic), using found sounds and samples from little penguin (working classes).
(pss002) joe ellis – swings & roundabouts
Four intricately composed house tracks from Joe Ellis which feel equally at ease on the sofa or the dancefloor. A subtly different sound to his Trimsound and Floppy Funk releases, showing a more experimental, percussive approach.
